Team Edge is a challenge-based channel which has been going since September 28th of 2015. Team Edge was created by Matthias, his brother J-Fred, and his brother-in-law Bryan. The channel typically has shoot days where they film multiple challenges in one day.

Markiplier has collaborated with Team Edge on four separate occasions:

Challenges featuring Mark[]

Arrow Dodge Challenge (12/15/2015 | 12/22/2015)[]

Uploaded to Mark's channel, this was a two-part challenge that featured multiple different rounds requiring dodging arrows from Zing Bows. Many of the rounds and rules were improvised during the recording.

ARROW TO THE NUTS

The thumbnail for part 1

Part one (uploaded 12/15/2015) featured three rounds. Round 1 had one shooter and five runners. Every turn, the shooter would shoot one arrow at the runners, and the runners would try to dodge the arrow while keeping one of their feet planted on the ground. If a runner was hit, they had to reset to the start. If a runner wasn't hit, they could take one step forward. The runners goal was to get past the goal line marked on the grass; if they did, they would be the shooter for the next round. Round 2 had two shooters and four runners. The shooters were allowed to fire arrows whenever they wanted to, and the runners could choose to either walk heel-to-toe or stop to dodge an arrow, while maintaining one planted foot to the ground. Round 3 was essentially the same as round 2, but the runners had to dance across the yard to get to the line.

Part two featured only one round with five shooters and one runner. The runner could move wherever they wanted and as fast as they wanted while all of the shooters could fire whenever they wanted. The runner won if they successfully got across the line once, while the gunners won if they used all their arrows up without the runner succeeding. Both Mark and J-Fred successfully made it across the line during their first attempts as a runner.

Highlights of the challenge included Mark getting shot in the right testicle.

Ping Pong Pain Challenge (12/23/2015)[]

PING PONG PAIN CHALLENGE

Uploaded to the Team Edge channel, this challenge had all six players revolve around the table while hitting the ping pong ball to the player on the other side. If a player messed up, then the person who hit the ball to them attempts to welt the player with the ball and paddle; If they hit the player, then they were eliminated. If they missed, then the player stayed in the game. Each round would end when the two final players remaining would get to welt all four previously eliminated players. The winners of both rounds played were Matthias and Ryan.

Highlights of the challenge included Mark tripping over a large basket of ping-pong balls, spilling them all over the backyard.

Team Duct Tape Challenge (12/28/2015)[]

TEAM DUCT TAPE CHALLENGE ft

Uploaded to the Team Edge channel, this challenge had two teams (Team Wade and Team Edge) competing against each other. Each team would get wrapped in duct tape by the opposing team for one minute, and the goal for each team was to separate themselves from the duct tape in the shortest amount of time possible. Team Edge won the challenge with (1:23) against Team Wade's time of (1:47).

Highlights of the challenge included Ryan getting a wedgie from the duct tape.

Giant Finger Football Challenge (12/29/2015)[]

GIANT FINGER FOOTBALL

Uploaded to Mark's channel, this challenge had two teams (Team Mark and Team Edge) attempt to score the most points by kicking a large triangular finger-flick football through a field goal post. Each player could attempt a field goal worth 1, 3 or 5 points, with each point value having a larger distance from the goal. Team Edge won by a score of 14-13.

Highlights of the challenge included Mark accidentally kicking the football into the neighbors yard three times, and Mark humping Ryan as a method of distraction to prevent Bryan from successfully kicking.

Nerf Castle War Challenge (4/8/2016)[]

Cup Castle War Challenge with Team Edge

Uploaded to Mark's channel, this challenge had two teams (Team Mark and Team Edge) attempt to create the tallest cup tower while the other team attempted to shoot down their tower with Nerf guns. The building team would be given three minutes to stack red solo cups while blocking nerf darts with their hands and arms. The shooting team would attempt to shoot down their tower to slow down their progress, and any cups that fell on the floor couldn't be reused. The building team's final score would be the number of layers their tower had when the timer hit zero. Team Mark won with 6 layers to Team Edge's 3 layers.

Highlights of the challenge included Mark-not realizing that the gun was loaded-shooting the camera.

Cup Shooting Battle (4/8/2016)[]

CUP CASTLE WAR CHALLENGE! ft

Uploaded to Team Edge's channel, this challenge was essentially a part two of the previous challenge, with the exact same rules. The only difference was that the stacking team could use hulk hands to block the nerf bullets. Team Mark won with 10 layers to Team Edge's 4 layers.

Drunk Bouncy House Challenge (4/15/2016)[]

DRUNK BOUNCY HOUSE CHALLENGE

Uploaded to Mark's channel, this challenge had two teams (Team Mark and Team Edge) compete to go through the bouncy house obstacle course and back to the start while achieving the lowest cumulative time. Each member from each team would individually go through the obstacle course wearing drunk goggles, while the three members of the opposing team could pelt the player with water balloons in attempt to slow down their progress. The timer would stop when the player returned to the start and touched the ground, and their times would be added to the total times for their team. Team Mark won with a total time of 2 minutes and 2 seconds (Mark-0:47 | Matt-0:39 | Ryan-0:36) to Team Edge's time of 2 minutes and 9 seconds (Bryan-0:52 | Matthias-0:45 | J-Fred-0:32).

Team Bouncy House Race Challenge (4/15/2016)[]

BOUNCE HOUSE OBSTACLE COURSE!!

Uploaded to the Team Edge channel, this challenge had two teams (Team LordMinion777 and Team Edge) race each other through the bouncy house obstacle course and back to the start. There were three rounds where each team would have one player race against a player of the other team and the goal was simply to beat the person you were racing against, while the other members of both teams could use water balloons to slow down the opposing team's player. The only other differences between this and the drunk bouncy house challenge was that the players could not have socks on during the race, and the individual times of each player wasn't recorded. Team Edge won by a score of 2-1.

Water War Challenge (4/22/2016 | 4/22/2016)[]

WATER WAR CHALLENGE

The thumbnail for Mark's video

Based on the Tonight Show segment of the same name, this challenge had all 6 players compete in the card game War. Each player is given 9 cards and 3 lives, represented by cups of water. On each turn, every player chooses a card to play on the table. Once every player reveals their card, the player with the lowest card value loses a life, and has one of their cups of water dumped on them by the player with the highest card value. If a joker is played, then the person who played the joker gets to subtract a life from any player they choose. A player gets eliminated once they lose all 3 lives. The cards are reshuffled and redealt after 8 turns, and the last player with one life still remaining wins the game.

In Mark's video, Bryan was the winner with two lives remaining, and Matt was pelted with water balloons as punishment for being the first player eliminated. In Team Edge's video, Matthias was the winner with two lives remaining, and he got to pelt all 5 eliminated players with water balloons.

Exploding Watermelon Challenge (4/29/2016 | 4/22/2016)[]

EXPLODING WATERMELON CHALLENGE

The thumbnail of Mark's video

This challenge had two teams (Team Mark and Team Edge) compete to try and explode their watermelon first. The teams' only means to get the watermelon to explode was by wrapping rubber bands around it to build up pressure on the melon before it's forced to split apart. Both teams could add as many rubber bands at any time with no rules requiring each player to go one at a time, and both teams could not interfere with the opposing team.

WATERMELON EXPLOSION CHALLENGE!!

The thumbnail for Team Edge's video

Mark's channel and the Team Edge channel both uploaded a video on this challenge. In Mark's video, rubber bands had to be placed horizontally around the melon, and Team Edge won the challenge. In Team Edge's video, rubber bands had to be placed vertically around the melon, and Team Edge won the challenge.

Highlights in Mark's video included both of the watermelons splitting at the bottom first, before unexpectedly fully-splitting down the middle minutes later. Highlights in Team Edge's video include Team Mark's watermelon not exploding despite every remaining rubber band on it, until finally exploding which sent half of the melon approximately 10 feet across the yard.

Shock Collar Challenge (7/8/2016)[]

SHOCK COLLAR CHALLENGE

Uploaded to Mark's channel, this challenge had each player go through a game of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Every player would attempt to get as many questions correct as possible, and whichever player gets the furthest won the challenge. On each player's turn, they are given three skips if they don't know the answer to a question, but in order to use a skip, they had to be shocked by a shock collar wrapped around their neck.

Highlights of the video occured at almost every second of the video due to the first questions being ridiculously easy, not having a clear understanding of the rules for when players got shocked, and everyone being off their game with startles and improper grammar due to the thought of getting shocked.

Backwards Action Challenge (7/8/2016)[]

Backwards Action Challenge ft Mark

Uploaded to the Team Edge channel, this challenge had each player attempt to act out a scene in reverse. On each round, the players are given a scene, and each one of them would take turns acting out the scene in reverse while trying to be as unique as possible. The re-reversed version of their acting is shown afterwards, and the players judge amongst themselves who the winner is of each round. Mark was crowned the winner of the challenge.

Don't Laugh Challenge #3 (7/12/2016)[]

DONT LAUGH 3

Each player would go twice, and they would be timed by how long they last without laughing, and the timer would stop when any amount of water left the player's mouth. Matthias won the challenge. Mark had already done two Don't Laugh Challenges on his channel before, but Team Edge was his original inspiration to do them.

The player would open the bottle on their turn, and they were eliminated if they got sprayed by the coke. Matthias won the challenge.

Highlights of this challenge include the players squeezing the bottom of the mentos bottles so the coke would further spray into their faces, and Mark willingly choosing another bottle after already being eliminated, which also contained a mentos.

Drunk Dunk Tank Challenge (7/22/2016)[]

Drunk Dunk

Uploaded to Mark's channel, this challenge had each player take turns running a mini obstacle course. On each players turn, they would wear Drunk Goggles and would start the round getting spun 10 times. They then had to weave their way between a line of 6 cones and attempts to hit the dunk tank target with a ball. If they missed, they would have to go back to the start and spin 5 more times before going through the cones again. Their round ended after they successfully dunk the person in the tank, or if their time goes over 2 minutes.

Ice Dunk Tank Challenge (7/22/2016)[]

Ice Dunk

Uploaded to the Team Edge channel, this challenge had each player take a turn sitting over the ice dunk tank, while the other three players had two attempts to hit the target to dunk them. There were three rounds in the game, with each round having a different projectile used to hit the target; dimple balls for round 1, zing bows for round 2, and round 3 used a kickball. The goal was to try being dunked the least.

Mario Kart In Real Life (10/24/2016)[]

Mario Kart IRL

Uploaded to Mark's channel, this channel pitted 5 players in a grand prix race of 100 laps. Each player was dressed as a character: Matthias as Mario, J-Fred as Bowser, Bryan as Luigi, Mark as Peach, and Tyler as Donkey Kong. Each player did a qualifying time trial to determine the order they started in, and the person who finished first in the 100-lap race won Markipeach as the prize. Tyler was the winner of the race.

Highlights of the video included multiple pauses that had to occur in the middle of the race due to racers breaking the track, hurting themselves, or breaking their go-karts in some way.

SUPERHOT In Real Life (10/24/2016)[]

SUPERHOT IRL

Uploaded to the Team Edge channel, this challenge had each player take turns being the shooter. Their goal was to try and kill all four of the other players, and the only rule that applied is that they could only move when the shooter moved. Each player had two rounds as the shooter–one round in the warehouse and the other in the office. Only 4 out of the 10 rounds were won by the gunner.

Mario Kart Battle In Real Life (11/4/2016)[]

Mario Kart Battle IRL

Uploaded to the Team Edge channel, the challenge started with 4 head-to-head battle rounds where each player had 3 balloons and their goal was to shoot the opposing player's balloons out while avoiding getting their own popped. Bryan won the first round. In round 2, they ran a battle royal where all 5 players attempted to shoot each player's balloons out, while trying to be the last player surviving. Tyler won the second round.

Backwards Action Challenge (11/4/2016 | 11/7/2016)[]

Backwards action

Uploaded to the Team Edge channel, this challenge had each player attempt to act out a scene in reverse. In part 1, the players are given a scene for each round, and each one of them would take turns acting out the scene in reverse while trying to be as unique as possible. The re-reversed version of their acting is shown afterwards, and the players judge amongst themselves who the winner is of each round. In part 2, the players had to do their own reverse scene to try and get the rest of the players to guess what the scene was.

Best Friends Battle (11/14/2016)[]

Best Friends

Uploaded to the Team Edge channel, this battle had Matthias and Bryan go against Mark and Tyler, with J-Fred as the emcee. Both pairs would be asked questions about their friend, and both team members would write down their answers to try and match their partner. Whoever had the most points at the end won. Team Mark and Tyler won.

Highlights of this video included both teams correctly guessing which crime they would commit if they could get away with it.
