Summary[]
Mark informs his viewers about taking the following week off to focus on writing his untitled project that's set to debut sometime in 2021. He ends the segment off by stating "..., but that's ok, because I was actually never real to begin with." After a brief pause, the vlog cuts to a YouTube notification for an unavailable video, with the hashtag #MARKIPLIERISNTREAL overlapping the screen for nine frames.
Aftermath[]
For the remainder of the week, Lixian, Marcus and Rachel, Wade, and Bob would produce individual video segments on Mark's channel debating with themselves whether or not Mark was real, while trying to reaffirm their stance to his audience.
A week later, Mark returned from his hiatus and continued to produce his regular YouTube content, seemingly dropping the entire build-up behind the original video's plot of him not being a real person.
In a later livestream, Mark stated that this was merely an excuse for him to take some time off and finish writing In Space with Markiplier.
