Summary[]

In the ninth episode of Distractible, Mark and Bob tell Wade the story of how the two, who were rooming together as college freshmen at the University of Cincinnati in 2007, decided to stack their beds on top of one another to create more space in the dormitory despite the fact that their furniture had not been designed for such purpose. Halfway through, the two noticed that they were missing bed pins to fasten their beds together. Upon realizing this, Mark decided to fashion some out of a plastic clothes hanger, with Bob reluctantly agreeing. Once completed, the two realized that one of the pins was half an inch longer than the rest. However, Mark disregarded the potential danger and decided to claim the top bunk. For the remainder of their school year, Mark's bed was held up by loose plastic pins, with Wade commenting that they could have gotten themselves killed.

Trivia[]

  • The scene of Mark fashioning a bed pin out of a plastic clothes hanger is portrayed as a Pepe Silvia meme that originated from an American sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The meme itself is often used to portray an extreme reaction or an exaggerated response.
