Cloudberry Kingdom is a challenging platformer game in which the game adjusts difficulty in correspondence to the player's abilities. This difficulty curve is adjusted by a score multiplier that increases as the player collects crystals throughout each short level. The higher the score or score multiplier that the player maintains, the more difficult the level configuration becomes.

In his first video of Cloudberry Kingdom, Markiplier played classic mode. Essentially, a survival-mode, Mark's goal was to go as far as possible before losing all of his lives. He makes numerous mentions on how difficult the gameplay can be in Cloudberry Kingdom, but at the urging of his fans, Mark soon played a second time, challenging himself with one level of the game at a ridiculous difficulty.
Mark's ultimate challenge in the second episode in which he played Cloudberry Kingdom, was not so much getting through the one ridiculous level as it was the bet he made with his viewers. Ultimately, Markiplier cheats, thus losing the bet. As his viewers could not agree on the consequence of losing the bet, Mark took matters into his own hands, and Mark later posted a video of himself dressing up and twerking.
