Blank Dream is an RPG maker horror video game played by Markiplier.
Game information[]
Death is only the beginning for 16 year old Mishiro, who plans to throw herself into a nearby lake that's the source of local legends. But when she finds herself trapped in a dark and dangerous world, she also finds herself without her memories, and she'll need to regain them all, and possibly those of others stranded there, to find a way forward in this creepy and unsettling free indie horror adventure from Teriyaki Tomato. The game contains four different endings.
Initial cancellation[]
At the time of making the original Let's Play, Daniel Kyre passed away a week after the penultimate episode was released, which put Mark's plans on hold. Later on, Mark failed to migrate the save file to his new computer and ended up dropping the playthrough altogether. Almost a year later, after recovering the original save, Mark caught up with the lore by re-watching his playthrough and finished the game with a ninety-minute long finale.[1]
Episodes[]
- BETTER THAN WITCH'S HOUSE?
- MONSTERS IN THE DARKNESS

- SCREW THAT DOLL SO HARD
- DO YOU SEE? DO YOU SEE?
- NOT ONE OF US
- FINISHING THE DREAM
Trivia[]
- The game's Japanese title, and the title of Ayato's painting, is a play on the names of Utsuro (虚, meaning hollow) and Mishiro (白, meaning white). This isn't an actual word, but the creator chose to use "Blank" in the title to closely associate it with hollow and white, since incorporating the names was infeasible. Alternatively, the game's given romanization reads the kanji as "Kohaku", masking the true meaning.
